“Be the silent watcher of your thoughts and behavior.

You are beneath the thinker.

You are the stillness beneath the mental noise.

You are the love and joy beneath the pain.”

~ Eckhart Tolle

“In today’s rush,

we all think too much-

seek too much-

want too much-

and forget about the joy

of just being.”

~Eckhart Tolle

“The ultimate truth of

who you are is not

I am this or

I am that, but

I AM”

~Eckhart Tolle

These are the lessons I was forced to ponder and learn when I could barely DO anymore. I had to learn to just BE. 🙂
Sometimes I forget and need to be reminded that it’s okay to just exist well.

    1. I need to be reminded of that often. I’m glad you are feeling better, enough so you can DO a little.
but always remember to just BE too. xoxo 🙂

  2. Reblogged this on Lorraine's frilly freudian slip and commented:

I’ve been mentally, emotionally, and spiritually away from blogging, and this past eight days, physically away from my computer and cell phone.
The second quote resonates soundly; I remember an older country gentleman who told me that people in the city are “in a rush to get nowhere.”

I have started to get into Eckhart Tolle recently. After being introduced to similar themes in other people’s writing (like Richard Rohr, Thomas Merton, etc.) I am finding Tolle’s words unique and particularly helpful to me personally.

        1. The Guardian Being is a cute illustrated book showing mindfulness with pets. It’s very cute, just dont look for it to be an in depth study.
I will look up A New Earth. Thank you for sharing, I’m always looking for more guidance on this journey.
