“The quieter you become
the more you can hear.”
~ Ram Dass
“Usually when we hear or read something new,
we just compare it to our own ideas.
If it is the same,
we accept it and say that it is correct.
If it is not, we say it is incorrect.
In either case, we learn nothing.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh
“People generally see what they look for,
and hear what they listen for.”

Oh how true–about the learning nothing. We all do tend to do that–listen to what we already agree with–LOL! Good reminder–especially right now in our polarized society.
Happy Monday, Lady! 🙂

The Harper Lee quote is very appropriate. Don’t we all just hear what we want to hear, unless we truly try to listen . . .

Hello Wendy. How are you? I love the quote by Thich Nhat Hanh… I might use that one myself sometime 🙂
I also love the picture of the plant at the top of the page, and am curious to know what it is?
Take care

Hi Carly, sorry I’m so late in responding.
I don’t know what kind of plant it is, it just grown in my yard. It’s cool. First it flowers, then it has the green ‘berries”, then they turn a deep purple, then they fall off and leave a bright pink stem.
Funny thing, I think it’s considered a weed. It’s a really big plant.
Sorry I don’t know what it is.
Best to you.
