Mindfulness Monday – Pets

“Some of the best teachers of mindfulness and
‘being in the moment’ are animals.”

~Richard J. Brewer

“with some dogs you just look at them –
just a little look is enough –
and their tail goes
Life is Good!
Life is Good!

And they are not telling themselves the story of why life is good.
It’s a direct realization.”

~ Eckhart Tolle

  1. Hi Kiki – it’s TINK. I love the pictures of you – and especially seeing that your two-legses appreciate how much we have to teach them and how much they need us. I have a toy that looks sort of like the one you are playing with. Mine is a toucan, and Mom and I play fetch with it — in the house!

    1. Hi Tink, it’s Kiki.
Thank you for shouting out to me.
My humans play catch with me in the house too! Isn’t it fun?
The toy you see came from my Aunt Terry, Wendy’s sister. She always brings me a toy when she comes to visit. She’s here now, so I have a new toy! What fun!
      Good to hear from you.

      1. WOW, Kiki. I don’t have an Aunt Terry – she sounds great. Aunt Peggy and Uncle Jason never bring me toys.

But I do have a bunch of them that Mom got for me and some that Santa brought. She keeps some of them hidden and swaps them out, so it’s almost like having new toys all the time anyway.

I’m not so great with catch, but I LOVE to play fetch.

        1. Really, I like to play fetch too!! I bet we’d have fun playing together, but mom tells me that you live a long ways away. 😢
Take care of your human, you know they’d be lost without us.
