Mindfulness Monday – 4

“Whether we are basically healthy at the moment or have a terminal illness, none of us knows how long we have to live. Life only unfolds in moments. The healing power of mindfulness lies in living each of those moments as fully as we can, accepting it as it is as we open to what comes next—in the next moment of now.”

    1. Thank you! I’m trying to do a little bit of something every week that I can share. Until this week it’s just been photos and one of those was from years ago. Life gets in the way of creativity sometimes. I was happy to get this little sunflower done. I’m really glad you like it. thank you so much.

Have you read the book ‘Full Catastrophe Living?’ It is definitely on my to read list. Perhaps one day, we can study it together, discuss it… One day…

    1. Fleur,
I’ve read most of it. I own it. I skip around in it, I find it hard to read straight through. I think more of his books give the same information in a more readable format. But that’s just my personal taste probably.
I’d really like to do a MBSR class. It’s hard though with my illnesses, I would never know if I could make it to class and it’s important to go to all the classes. I wouldn’t want to take the spot of someone who could actually go the whole time and end up getting more out of it. (I’m also afraid my hearing would be a barrier)
There is a free online MBSR class that I’ve been thinking about doing, but it does have a few videos that it suggest you watch, and I can’t hear that kind of stuff.
You can find it here: http://palousemindfulness.com/index.html

Perhaps we could try to go through that together sometime….

If only I had a bit more stamina… that would have been great. Trying not to sigh, indeed, it would be a nice thing to do together. If only… I clearly remember what Toni said about ‘if only’! Love, Fleur
