“Health is a large word.
It embraces not the body only,
but the mind and spirit as well;…
and not today’s pain or pleasure alone,
but the whole being and outlook of a man.”
~ James H. West
“The secret of health for both mind and body
is not to mourn for the past,
not to worry about the future,
or not to anticipate troubles,
but to live the present moment
wisely and earnestly.”
~Siddartha Guatama Buddha

Oh Kim I haven’t been able to get to your blog recently. I’m trying to catch up since I’ve been so ill. But it’s coming around again it seems. I promise I haven’t forgotten you. xo. w

Thanks Rita. I made the feather for Stuart, it hands in our home. The photo is not great. It’s a deeper black, and it tilts more to the side. I’m glad you like it. xo

Thank you Faith. I’m glad you like the feather, and think it goes well with the piece. With Mindfulness Monday I try to only post things I’ve created. Sometimes I’ll post a photo by Stuart, but most are from me. It makes it hard to match up an artwork to every week.
Love and hugs sweet lady. xo

It is true what they say about health – it’s everything. I have a bit of a headache today – nothing terrible, really, but it reminds me that I rarely think of listing “seldom get headaches” in my gratitude journal. I’ll bet you would LOVE to be able to list that one!
Much love to you, my friend. May we both wake up headache free in the mornings to come.

Oh my goodness “seldom gets headaches” that’s something to write in your gratitude journal for sure. I’d be happy if I could say one day that I didn’t have a headache. A headache is a part of my life. I would think it was weird not to have one. I’m always amazed when I meet someone who seldom has headaches. I just can’t comprehend.
Much love to you. I hope you can always say you “seldom get headaches”.

We are all searching for things we do not have. Health is often one of those things. How greatly health is needed in the modern society can be easily noticed if we just look around ourselves. Mindful breathing, mindful walking, mindful eating are the tools that can help tremendously to enhance our perception and to teach to understand what is going on in our bodies and minds as well as in the sphere of emotions, if we choose to separate it from the mind. I am happy that people like you have wonderful and encouraging blogs.
